Sami Hyypia will walk away from Anfield this weekend after 10 glorious years at Liverpool... with a promise to return
The Finnish defender has been described as a "Liverpool legend" by his manager Rafa Benitez after 463 club appearances since arriving in a £2.5million deal from Dutch club Willem II in the summer of 1999.
Hyypia, 35, agreed a two year deal with the German club after admitting he was forced to leave in search of the regular first team football he believes he is still capable of.
But he insisted he had nothing but fond memories of his time at the club, and revealed he hopes to continue his Anfield love affair after being offered a coaching role by Benitez.
"I'd like to come back to Liverpool one day as a coach, and it was great to hear the manager would like me to return," the defender explained.
"Coaching has always been in my mind, but I have to take my badges first. I haven't done that yet because I want to keep playing, and I thought at this stage it would be a burden.
"But at the end of my playing career I'll look to take the badges and then see. I've so many memories of Liverpool, and really would love to return one day."
For the pragmatic Finn, his achievements at Liverpool - the Champions League, UEFA Cup, FA Cup, Carling Cup and Super Cup - will only sink in once he has left.
Even the famously composed defender, who shows no emotion, will he hard pressed to stem the tears when he looks around the famous old stadium for the last time - as a player at least.
"I think it will only be after I've finally left that I'll be able to sit back and realise what we've done in my 10 years," said Hyypia.
"It's hard to take in now. Coming from Finland, it's not usual that you have this kind of career in one of the top teams in the world. Maybe it will only come later when I fully appreciate what I've done.
"I haven't too much time to think about it. The only thing I've been worried about this season is training hard, staying fit and doing well for the team. "But yes, it is nice to be remembered here. We've achieved quite a lot as a team and as a club and I am very happy with what we have done together.
"I've said before that the club and the fans have been so good to me. I've never had to look elsewhere because everything has always been so good for me here. It has been special."
If Hyypia has one regret, then it is failing to win the title during his time at Anfield. "I know the fans only want one thing and that's what is missing for me too," he added. "It would have been such a great achievement for the club, for the team and for me to win the Premier League, but it wasn't to be."

Manchester United fan stabbed in Rome
ROME (AP) - Manchester United fan was hospitalized after being stabbed and 15 people, including United and Barcelona supporters, were arrested by police in separate incidents before the Champions League final Wednesday night in Rome.
No violence was reported immediately after the match's end.
Dizzy with joy over the 2-0 victory for Barcelona, the Spanish team's fans were celebrating in the ancient alleys and squares of the Italian capital. Barcelona supporters playfully dipped their team scarves into the waters of the city's monumental fountains.
Disappointed British fans filed out of the packed stadium calmly, as police helicopters buzzed over the city on the watch for any pockets of violence.
As up to 50,000 United and Barcelona supporters thronged through Rome earlier in the day, huge numbers of police patrolled the city. While many fans peacefully flooded the cobblestone streets of Rome - many openly sidestepping an alcohol ban imposed by the authorities - scattered episodes of violence were reported in and outside the Italian capital before the match.
Near the stadium, two young men were surprised as they sold cans of beer they had stashed in picnic coolers and backpacks.
Police said that a United fan was taken to the Santo Spirito hospital after he was stabbed in the thigh in the early hours of Wednesday morning. They did not identify the victim.
The fan told investigators that four attackers who spoke Spanish attacked him near his hotel in the Vatican area. He was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday afternoon.
Separately, two United fans were arrested for assaulting bystanders and police in Campo de Fiori, a popular square in the heart of Rome which is lined with pubs and cafes.
Police said the men, aged 19 and 45 but not identified, were drunk despite a ban on alcohol sales imposed by authorities in areas including the city center and near the stadium.
"They will watch the match from a TV inside the Regina Coeli prison," said a police statement.
The ANSA news agency said two United fans were arrested for trying to pay at the posh Cafe de Paris with counterfeit money.
Three Barcelona fans were arrested after a police search of their car turned up blunt objects, including clubs and a javelin, police said. The three were traveling from Civitavecchia, a port near Rome where hundreds of Spanish fans had arrived by ship.
In yet another incident, four Italians were arrested in Ostia, on the coast near Rome, after they attacked an American, apparently mistaking the 23-year-old man for a United supporter. The U.S. citizen, who was beaten up and stabbed in his thigh and backside, was hospitalized in serious condition, police said.
During the game, police in the stadium arrested an Italian man who was trying to steal a fan's camera, Italian media reported.
Some 30,000 fans from England and 20,000 from Spain arrived for the match, largely on dozens of charter flights at Rome's airports.
Authorities had been monitoring hardcore fans of Rome's local teams amid concerns that they might seek to ambush visiting supporters. AS Roma fans especially were being kept under close watch, because they clashed with United supporters in Rome in 2007.
Before converging to a heavily patrolled stadium, the fans flooded the city center, snapping pictures at the Colosseum and sporting the colors of their teams. Fans wore flags as capes and one Spanish woman, in honor of the host city, had a Barcelona flag wrapped around her like a toga.
Congratulations Barcelona!
Manchester United fans still proved to be the best hooligans! No wonder Italians hate you~!

Exclusive photos of our new away kit !
Supporters got their first glimpse of our new away kit today - but it was way back in February that Rafa's stars enjoyed their sneak preview at a top secret photoshoot.
"I'm really pleased. It's a nice colour and it's comfortable," says the man with No.8 on his back. "I suppose getting my first kit was where it began for me as a Liverpool supporter. Having an older brother, I always used to pinch his. Then I was fortunate enough that my parents bought me my own."

Court rules Nizar is legitimate MB !!
VS
The ruling was the culmination in the suit brought by Nizar on Feb 13 to challenge Zambry's position as Perak menteri besar and to seek constitutional interpretations on Article 16(6) of the Perak Constitution pertaining to the manner in which the menteri besar's post can be vacated.Nizar also issued a writ of quo warranto asking Zambry to show cause by what authority he was occupying the post of menteri besar as well as an injunction to prevent Zambry or his agents from continuing roles of the menteri besar.
Sultan Azlan Shah appointed Zambry as menteri besar on Feb 6 after deeming the latter to command the majority confidence of the assembly with support from BN’s 27 other assemblymen and the three independents — Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi (Behrang), Mohd Osman Mohd Jailu (Changkat Jering) and Hee Yit Foong (Jelapang). The trio’s resignation from their respective parties had thrown the Perak state assembly into a deadlock as both PR and BN had 28 representatives each in the 59-seat assembly.
Met after the ruling, a jubilant Nizar hailed the decision as a "victory for the rakyat". Nizar, who was mobbed by reporters and supporters, said he immediately would seek royal consent for the Perak state assembly to be dissolved to allow the people of Perak to elect their legitimate state government. Nizar also called on Zambry to abide by the court's decision and return office to Pakatan Rakyat (PR) in an orderly manner. He reminded Zambry and the BN executive councillors (exco) to immediately vacate their positions as per the court's orders, adding that a PR exco meeting would be held soonest possible. Hundreds of supporters were at the Jalan Duta court complex to celebrate Pakatan's victory, chanting "Hidup, hidup, hidup rakyat!" and "bubar, bubar, bubar dun perak".
The Federal Court once again returned the matter to the High Court after it ruled on April 28 that it cannot hear the three questions referred by Zambry before the facts of the case had been established by the High Court.

Happy Mothers Day
When the world was new to you -
She was there to turn to happy times
Those when, you were hurt or blue.
She was there to listen to your thoughts
And when you asked, to give advice -
She was there to tell you, "Those don't match!"
Or, "Honey, you sure look nice."
She was there with you at nighttime
To help you say your prayers -
She was there to tell you, "It's alright."
When you had a dream that scares.
She was there at morning time
To get you up and out of bed -
She was there when you didn't feel good (or did)
To say, "You'd best stay home, instead."
She was there when you were hungry
And when you had those dirty clothes -
She was there when you needed her
(How she knew? Only heaven knows.)
She was there at the beginning
And she'll be there your whole life through -
She'll be there in your mind and heart
Just like a mother is supposed to do.
I want to wish all mothers and ladies in this world a Happy Mothers Day.
Like what my handsome senior said, the only girl that will love you even you’re not handsome is your mum. LOL!
** Especially to my mother - you're the bank I deposited all my hurt and worriedness.
** Exclusively to my dear - you're the bank I deposited all my care and love.
Happy Mothers Day to both of you. ^^

Guinness 黑狗
The parent company has been headquartered in London since 1932 and was later merged with Grand Metropolitan plc and developed into a multi-national alcohol conglomerate named Diageo.
Draught Guinness and its canned counterpart contain nitrogen (N2) as well as carbon dioxide. Nitrogen is less soluble than carbon dioxide, which allows the beer to be put under high pressure without making it fizzy. The high pressure of dissolved gas is required to enable very small bubbles to be formed by forcing the draught beer through fine holes in a plate in the tap, which causes the characteristic "surge" (the widget in cans and bottles achieves the same effect). The perceived smoothness of draught Guinness is due to its low level of carbon dioxide and the creaminess of the head caused by the very fine bubbles that arise from the use of nitrogen and the dispensing method described above. "Original Extra Stout" contains only carbon dioxide, causing a more acidic taste.
Contemporary Guinness Draught and Extra Stout are weaker than they were in the 19th century, when they had an original gravity of over 1.070. Foreign Extra Stout and Special Export Stout, with abv over 7%, are perhaps closest to the original in character.
Although Guinness may appear to be black, it is officially a very dark shade of ruby.
Guinness Is Good For You
Studies claim that Guinness can be beneficial to the heart. Researchers found that antioxidant compounds in Guinness, similar to those found in certain fruits and vegetables, are responsible for health benefits because they slow down the deposit of harmful cholesterol on the artery walls.
Guinness ran an advertising campaign in the 1920s which stemmed from market research - when people told the company that they felt good after their pint, the slogan was born – "Guinness is Good for You". Guinness was told to stop using the slogan decades ago – and the firm still makes no health claims for the drink. Diageo, the company that now manufactures Guinness, said: "We never make any medical claims for our drinks." The company now runs advertisements that call for "responsible drinking". The old slogan is still used abroad however.
Guinness may be unsuitable for a vegetarian diet, as the production process involves the use of isinglass, made from fish. It is used as a fining agent for settling out suspended matter in the vat. The isinglass is retained in the floor of the vat but it is possible that minute quantities might be carried over into the beer.
Thats all for today folks, I got to go somewhere right now. Have a wonderful evening ahead guys as I will have mine. ^^
